Financial Administrator
We are currently seeking a full-time Financial Administrator to become an integral member of our small engineering consulting firm. Position requirements are as follows:
Experience
- 10 years+ experience working in corporate finance.
- A degree in Business/Accounting preferred.
- Knowledgeable in bookkeeping/accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Payroll for salaried and hourly employees, including payroll taxes and filings.
- Reconcile monthly general ledger balance.
- Prepare and analyze periodic finance reports and account reconciliation reports.
- Prepare tax documents and coordinate with external certified public accountant.
- Employee benefit coordination and administration.
- Assist with term contract administration.
- Assist with miscellaneous office administration tasks.
Skills and software
- Proficient in Ajera.

Mechanical Engineer
We are currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to become an integral member of our consulting team. Position requirements are as follows:
Experience
- 4-10 years of consulting mechanical engineering design experience, preferably with institutional and/or commercial projects from schematic design through construction administration.
- A four-year mechanical engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
- Mechanical PE license in the Commonwealth of Virginia, preferred. EIT certification level and applying to obtain PE license, minimum.
Responsibilities
- Able to lead project from start to finish, including coordinating all mechanical design requirements, completing mechanical calculations and preparing specifications. Proficiency in overseeing Construction Administration duties (reviewing submittals, answering RFIs, conducting site visits and punch lists).
- Capable of completing field work for both Existing Condition Assessments and Renovation projects.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate with all team members, including engineers, architects, and owners.
Skills and software
- Proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Skilled using load calculation software (Carrier HAP or similar)
- Competent with Microsoft Word & Excel
- Working knowledge of Virginia Mechanical codes (VUSBC, VMC, VECC)
- Plumbing design experience an added benefit, but not required.

- A four-year electrical engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
- Electrical PE license in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or capable of obtaining quickly through reciprocity. EIT certification level and applying to obtain PE license, minimum.
Responsibilities
- Able to lead project from start to finish, including coordinating all electrical design requirements, completing electrical calculations and preparing specifications. Proficiency in overseeing Construction Administration duties (reviewing submittals, answering RFIs, conducting site visits and punch).
